When will I get my result?Your IELTS test results will be available within ten working days of the exam. Your TRF will be ready for pick-up at the British Council office or will be mailed to the address indicated on your application form. We do not give test results over the telephone or by email.
You will only receive one original Test Report Form. This is a very valuable document and it is recommended that you take due care in keeping your TRF secure. IT CAN NOT BE REPLACED. Your IELTS test result is valid for two years. However, some universities or organizations may have their own regulations on the period of validity. What if I need extra TRFs for immigration or study applications? The British Council offers a courier service through DHL. The fee is Php 250 for local sending and Php 1,200 for international agencies or institutions. Candidates who use this service will be given a DHL Airway Bill Number so they can track whether the institutions have received their TRFs.
For candidates wishing to send their TRFs to CGFNS & ICHP, we offer a free courier service. TRFs are sent in bulk via DHL every week. Candidates who use this service will not be given an individual Airway Bill Number.
Please make sure that you include your CGFNS/ICHP reference # in your request. Requests without a reference number cannot be processed.
Download the Additional TRF Request Form and send it with your payment to our office or you can also fax it to us if you are requesting the free courier service to CGFNS and ICHP. You may also visit our office to make your request. What can I do if I am not satisfied with my test results? If you are not satisfied with your IELTS score you can apply for an Enquiry on Results (EOR) service. You should make sure that your request is made within FOUR weeks after the Issuing Date (the date printed at the bottom) of the TRF. You must complete an Enquiry on Results Form and pay GBP 60 (this should be paid in peso) at our office. You may also mail the Enquiry on Results form together with a manager’s cheque payable to British Council.
The fee for remarking is the same whether you requested for a full or partial re-mark. All the required test scripts for the candidate, including the answer sheets and the interview tape, will be sent to British Council headquarters in UK and then remarked by a Senior Examiner. The procedure takes between 6-8 weeks.
If the re-mark results show an increase in the band scores, a full refund will be paid to you. However, no refund will be made if there is no change in the scores. The candidate should surrender the original receipt issued by the British Council for us to process refund. Refunds will take ten working days to process.
There is no appeal on the EOR result and the decision of the senior examiner is final.
Should the scores change after the EOR, we will issue you a new TRF once you have surrendered your original TRF. Can I take the test again?Yes, after May 1st 2006, all candidates can re-take the test as soon as they like regardless of when they took the test. The same registration procedures apply for those who want to re-take the test.
